BREAKING: SBF Released On $250 Million Bail, Here’s Where He Will Stay
• December 22, 2022 1:55 pm • CommentsThe man who claimed he only had $100,000 in his bank account has just been released on a $250 million dollar bail.
Disgraced FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried has just been released on bail tied to his wealthy parents’ Palo Alto home, where he will also be staying until he goes before a judge.
SBF has also been stripped of his passport due to being a flight risk.
Many speculate SBF only agreed to be extradited to the US because he was already secretly offered bail.

🚨 SBF to be released on $250 million dollar bond bail, tied to his parents' house in Palo Alto where he will be on house arrest without his passport.
As sources had said, this is how they were able to get him to come to the US. But it's unfortunate to see him walk free at all.

JUST IN: FTX founder, SBF, to be released on $250 million bail.
How do you get accused of fraud for $10 billion in customer funds then use those funds to post bail?

Here’s a twitter thread of his bail hearing:
All rise!
US has a "location monitoring specialist" at their table.
Assistant US Attorney: Defendant consented to extradition and was transported by the FBI. He arrested in the US in this district last night, in Westchester.— Inner City Press (@innercitypress) December 22, 2022
Judge Gorenstein: You are also charged with violating campaign finance laws. Have you seen this indictment?
Defense counsel: Yes, and we waive the public reading.
Judge Gorenstein: The indictment will be at a later date.— Inner City Press (@innercitypress) December 22, 2022
AUSA: We believe this is the highest ever pre-trial bond. That's our proposal.
Judge Gorenstein: Go ahead.
AUSA Roos: A $250 million bond, signed by defendant and his parents, and a non family member, secured by the parents' home, where he will live, in Palo Alto— Inner City Press (@innercitypress) December 22, 2022
AUSA Roos: If he had resisted, we would have opposed release. But his assets have diminished. This is a financial crime and he no longer works for FTX or Alameda. So risk to the community is a marginal consideration. We propose a restrictive bail package

AUSA Roos: He would be required to turn himself in to Pre Trial Services in the ND of California tomorrow by 10 am. I believe the defense has consented to this.
Judge Gorenstein: Pre-trial services?
Pre-trial: We could install GPS today.— Inner City Press (@innercitypress) December 22, 2022
