Elon Musk’s Twitter Shows A Dogecoin Logo Now
• April 4, 2023 2:15 pm • CommentsElon Musk has been a long time supporter of the cryptocurrency Dogecoin and has previously embraced the use of the digital asset for Tesla’s business operations.
Ever since Musk had acquired Twitter, there had been many speculations from the crypto community that Dogecoin and other crypto might possibly be integrated into the social media platform as well.
Any tweet or rumor about this often caused the price of Dogecoin to spike as integration into a massive social media platform would certainly be big news for mainstream adoption.
It now seems that those rumors are gaining credibility now as Twitter now shows the logo of Dogecoin whenever a Twitter page is loading.
What this means is still uncertain, but the price of Dogecoin once again reacted positively just as it did when Twitter was acquired.
Dogecoin's price surged 30% on Monday as Elon Musk changed the Twitter app logo from a blue bird to a Shiba Inu dog, while he simultaneously faces a $258 billion class-action lawsuit alleging he promoted the cryptocurrency as part of a pyramid scheme. https://t.co/QF0ZiPLZiz

Watcher.guru reports:
In one of the most recent updates to Twitter, the social media behemoth has updated its blue bird logo with the Dogecoin image. It is unclear at the moment whether this is a permanent change to the Twitter logo.
It could potentially also be Musk reminding the DOGE community that he hasn’t forgotten about the meme coin.
Following this change, the price of Dogecoin has shot up by 22.56%. DOGE is trading at $0.9796 at press time, with signs that the coin is moving in an upward trajectory. The market cap of DOGE has also gone up by 22.5%, according to CoinMarketCap data.
If the newly updated logo is not visible to any users, they can just go into private or incognito mode to see the updated Dogecoin logo.
There have been many ideas on how crypto could be integrated into the Twitter platform such as allowing users to send crypto to other users.
This could be done in the form of “tips” which would make participation on the platform a lot more rewarding as it provides financial incentives for popular tweets.
So far, Musk has not released any detailed plans regarding this, but sources that are close to Twitter’s development activates have hinted that there is an initiative that is looking at crypto specifically within Twitter.
The new dogecoin logo replaces the previous Twitter bird logo and it is unknown if this logo change will be permanent or not.
So far, Dogecoin has jumped by more than 30% after the recent logo change.

CNBC concludes:
Niche cryptocurrency dogecoin spiked more than 30% on Monday after Twitter CEO Elon Musk replaced the blue bird on his company’s website with an image of a shiba inu, the digital coin’s logo.
On Friday, attorneys for Twitter and Musk asked a federal judge to toss out a $258 billion lawsuit from 2022 that accused the billionaire of manipulating dogecoin’s price and driving it up over 36,000%.
After the Twitter logo was altered to a shiba inu image, Musk shared a meme about the change to his 133.5 million followers on Twitter. The dog appeared only for some users of Twitter, including those on its website.
Twitter did not respond to a request for comment.
