Fox News Reports SEC V. Ripple Will Be Settled Tomorrow• November 14, 2022 9:43 pm • Comments
Fox Business’s most recent airing of Mornings with Maria has raised some eyebrows.
Fox News anchor Maria Bartiromo and crypto commentator Natalie Brunell caught the attention of crypto holders everywhere but it wasn’t exactly what they said that caught the eyes of the crypto community, it was a graphic that read “SEC VS. RIPPLE SETTLEMENT EXPECTED TOMORROW” that appeared at the bottom of the screen.
Take a look:
Fox Business had a chyron that said "SEC v Ripple Settlement Expected Tomorrow," but have since walked it back. https://t.co/VvGv5omrtt pic.twitter.com/AbxxmXniHO

Both Ripple and Fox News have now refuted the report:
Per a Ripple spokesperson, this morning’s report on an expected settlement between @Ripple and the @SECGov tomorrow (11/15) is false. @MorningsMaria @natbrunell

But the graphic didn’t just create itself…
Let me say this…
I know FoxBusiness claimed the settlement rumor was false. I know Ripple said it was false.
But folks, that graphic didn’t make itself. Someone is planning for this VERY soon. No accident…
I’ve just got a feeling… pic.twitter.com/fOvVhzcRd1

Crypto.News shared these details:
Leading Fox reporter Eleanor Terrett, has refuted the network’s assertions that a settlement between Ripple and the SEC is anticipated tomorrow. Eleanor Terrett, a renowned writer, and Charlie Gasparino’s producer at Fox, have seemed to publicly refute statements made on Fox Business that suggested Ripple Labs and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) were anticipating a resolution in their allegedly endless legal battle.
The assertion was made on Fox Business in the early hours of Monday by Polish journalist and bitcoin maximalist, Natalie Brunnel. Terrett pointed out on Twitter that the assertion was untrue and said she had discussed it with a Ripple spokesman.
A few hours after the public assertion, she tweeted that, as per a Ripple spokesman, the news regarding a planned settlement between Ripple and SEC tomorrow (11/15) was untrue.
In addition, Gasparino tweeted about the fake settlement news. Gasparino refers back to Brunnel, mentioning a few lessons learned from the case between Ripple and the SEC while discussing the allegedly Binance-stirred FTX scenario on Fox Business this morning. Brunnel implied that all sides were anticipating a resolution tomorrow in his remarks on the subject.

U.Today had these details to add:
A spokesperson for blockchain company Ripple has denied Fox Business’s report about Ripple reaching a settlement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Earlier today, a chyron appeared during Maria Bartiromo’s show, “Mornings with Maria,” and read, “SEC VS. RIPPLE SETTLEMENT EXPECTED TOMORROW.”
The bombshell chyron aired during an interview with Bitcoin advocate Natalie Brunell. Neither Bartiromo nor Brunell mentioned anything about the settlement part when discussing the Ripple case. However, the XRP community was ablaze with speculation despite the fact that there was no indication that the parties were ready to come to an agreement. As reported by U.Today, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse said that the lawsuit was likely to end in the first half of 2023.
