Bitcoin Magazine has reported that Bitcoin Conference CEO David Bailey is currently in talks with the Kamala Harris campaign for a potential keynote speaker slot.

Shortly after Joe Biden dropped out of the 20204 presidential race, Bitcoin Conference organizers reached out to the Harris campaign and asked if the vice president would be interested in speaking at the event.

A decision from the Harris campaign is expected to be released later today.

In recent weeks, Harris has been catching up on Crypto.

Per Quartz:

Vice President Kamala Harris hasn’t focused much on crypto in her political career, but as crypto has become a political topic in this election year, it seems she’s doing her homework now.

Entrepreneur and Bitcoin enthusiast Mark Cuban stated in an interview with Decrypt that the Harris camp had contacted him with questions about crypto.

“I’m getting multiple questions from her camp about crypto,” he told Decrypt. “So I take that as a good sign.”

“The feedback I’m getting, but certainly not confirmed by the VP, is that she will be far more open to business, [artificial intelligence], crypto and government as a service,” Cuban added.
