Per PayPal:
PayPal Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: PYPL) today announced two additional cryptocurrencies – Chainlink (LINK) and Solana (SOL) – are now available for PayPal and Venmo users to buy, hold, sell, and transfer directly in their respective accounts.
“Since we initially made cryptocurrencies available on PayPal and Venmo, we’ve been listening to our users about what they want to do with crypto on our platforms. One piece of feedback we’ve heard is to make additional tokens available that align with our mission of revolutionizing payments,” said May Zabaneh, Vice President of Product, Blockchain, Crypto, and Digital Currencies, PayPal. “Offering more tokens on PayPal and Venmo provides users with greater flexibility, choice, and access to digital currencies. This allows for more options to buy, send or spend within our trusted PayPal and Venmo wallets.”
Chainlink is the most widely-adopted platform for data, compute, and cross-chain interoperability, enabling developers to create more advanced blockchain applications.
Solana is a leading blockchain platform that supports a wide range of decentralized applications and crypto projects. Users can use SOL to participate in this innovative, fast-growing ecosystem — participating in decentralized finance, making payments, playing games, building community-run infrastructure networks, and much more.
PayPal is committed to providing cryptocurrency options in a familiar, trusted environment. The addition of LINK and SOL reflects the company’s dedication to the evolving digital currency landscape and fostering greater accessibility and engagement in the cryptocurrency market.
PayPal and Venmo users will start seeing LINK and SOL available for purchase over the next few weeks.

Here’s what Yahoo Finance reported:
PayPal has added chainlink (LINK) and solana (SOL) to its growing list of supported cryptocurrencies, giving users of both PayPal and Venmo the ability to buy, hold, sell and transfer the tokens directly from their accounts.
The move reflects the payments giant’s continued push into the cryptocurrency space after first launching crypto support in 2020. The new tokens will roll out to U.S. users over the next few weeks.
“Offering more tokens on PayPal and Venmo provides users with greater flexibility, choice, and access to digital currencies,” said May Zabaneh, PayPal’s Vice President of Blockchain, Crypto, and Digital Currencies, in a press release.
The company, which has also launched its own U.S. dollar-backed stablecoin, has last year moved to allow its business clients access crypto directly form their accounts in the U.S.
