Phantom Sets August 26 Deadline for Monad Wallet Support 32 Hours After Robinhood Chain Debut

Phantom added Robinhood Chain to its wallet on July 23, then roughly 32 hours later announced that support for Monad will end on August 26, 2026. The close timing makes for an abrupt sequence, but Phantom has not connected the two decisions or disclosed why it is dropping Monad support.

The Robinhood Chain announcement landed at 16:49 UTC on July 23, with Phantom saying the network was live in the wallet. At 00:44 UTC on July 25, about 31 hours and 55 minutes later, Phantom published the Monad notice and named the cutoff date.

Phantom said Monad users will receive in-app notices and links to support material describing ways to move or swap Monad-native assets. That gives users a little more than a month from the announcement to review the instructions and choose where they want to manage those assets next.

The deadline applies to Phantom’s wallet support, not to operation of the Monad blockchain. Phantom ending an integration does not mean Monad is shutting down, and the announcement offered no basis for judging the network’s technical health.

The reported routes should not be treated as identical or automatic. One is described as a move to a compatible wallet and the other as a swap into a wrapped asset on Solana, so users should wait for the exact official instructions before selecting a path.

Until those materials arrive, the exact mechanics remain forthcoming. The practical step is to watch Phantom’s in-app messages, read the linked support instructions, and select a compatible route before August 26.

The announcement frames the deadline as a support transition and pairs it with instructions for moving or swapping Monad-native assets. The user task is therefore continuity: choose one of the supported paths Phantom presents before the wallet integration ends.

They need to identify whether they currently depend on Phantom for Monad transactions, then follow the promised instructions early enough to complete the offered move or swap path before support closes.

The current help documentation also helps define the scope of the transition. Because Phantom presently supports holding, sending, receiving, swapping, gas payments, network activation, and recovery-phrase imports on Monad, the August change affects an established collection of wallet functions rather than a single display setting.

For Monad, this is a distribution change at the wallet layer. One wallet is preparing to stop supporting the network, while the network itself remains separate from that product decision; any broader conclusion about Monad’s operation or technology would go beyond Phantom’s statement.
