Saylor Teases Another Strategy Bitcoin Buy After 811-BTC Purchase
• November 8, 2026 3:40 pm • CommentsMichael Saylor has put the market back on Strategy Bitcoin-buy watch.
The Strategy executive chairman posted the company’s familiar Bitcoin acquisition tracker on Sunday with the short message, “Connecting the dots.” It was a hint, not a purchase announcement. No amount, date or financing source was disclosed.

The timing is getting attention because Saylor has repeatedly used weekend chart posts ahead of formal Monday disclosures. But the only confirmed numbers right now are the ones Strategy released last week.
In its November 2 filing release, Strategy said it bought 811 Bitcoin for approximately $65.5 million between October 26 and November 1. The average purchase price was $80,846 per Bitcoin, including fees and expenses.
That acquisition lifted Strategy’s reported holdings to 849,327 Bitcoin, acquired for an aggregate cost of roughly $64.08 billion. Its average purchase price across the entire position was $75,451 per Bitcoin.
The same disclosure shows how the company paid for the purchase. Strategy sold 1,178,552 shares of MSTR common stock for approximately $164 million in net proceeds, used $65.5 million for Bitcoin and added the rest to cash.
Strategy also reported repurchasing more than 2.09 million STRC preferred shares for about $208.2 million. That combination makes the next filing a read on both Bitcoin accumulation and the company’s broader capital strategy.

The market backdrop makes the next filing more interesting than usual. Bitcoin was trading near $76,000 on Sunday, according to CoinDesk CC.
That puts the asset near Strategy’s blended cost basis but below the price paid for its latest confirmed purchase.
Strategy funded the 811-BTC purchase with proceeds from sales of its MSTR common stock. The company also repurchased approximately $208.2 million of STRC preferred shares with cash during the same reporting period, underscoring that its capital plan now has more moving parts than simple Bitcoin accumulation.
That is what investors should watch in the next disclosure. A new purchase would answer how much Bitcoin Strategy added, but the financing details will show how aggressively it is willing to keep accumulating while its stock and preferred securities move through a volatile market.
For now, Saylor has done what he often does best: placed the possibility of another buy in front of the market without confirming it. The next official Strategy filing—not the social-media speculation—will settle whether a new dot is actually coming.
