Tucker Carlson NFT Raises Money For Pro-Choice

The recent overturn of Roe V Wade has sent shockwaves across the country.

Conservatives are celebrating what they see as a moral and historic victory, while left-wing progressives have taken to the streets in protest, and, at times—violent attacks.

Far from actually resolving the issue, the recent Supreme Court decision has created somewhat of an arms race.

Both pro-life and pro-choice activists have been hard at work raising money for their causes.

NFTs have become a popular option for raising funds, spreading awareness for activist issues, as well as patronizing the arts, and activist groups on both sides of the abortion debate have taken notice.

According to sources, a Tucker Carlson NFT accidentally raised roughly $14,000 for the pro-choice cause. Carlson, a staunch conservative television host has yet to comment on this recent development.

To be clear, the NFT was minted via a screenshot of the Tucker Carlson Tonight show by a third party. Neither Tucker Carlson nor Fox News minted or authorized the NFT.

Here’s a screenshot of the NFT, and more on the story:

The Independent confirmed:

Fox News host Tucker Carlson unintentionally contributed to raising nearly $14,500 (£11,800) for abortion rights on Friday, hours after the US Supreme Court overturned the landmark Roe v Wade judgement, which affirmed the right to abortion care for the past five decades in America.

Protos provided a breakdown of the sale price:

That day was Friday. The New York-based artist listed the NFT at 0.5 ETH or about $600.

After three hours, a bid was placed by an unnamed wallet for 4.20 ETH ($5,100).
Four more bids hiked up the price to 11 ETH ($13,450) within the next four hours.
The initial bidder returned Saturday with a winning bid of 12.10 ETH, worth about $14,800 at press time.
