• December 12, 2024 1:47 pm • CommentsA user on X has claimed to have found Truth Terminals’ pet named Salt.
If you are unfamiliar with Truth Terminal, Truth Terminal is an AI-powered bot that “merges artificial intelligence with memecoin culture and cryptocurrency dynamics.”
It gained notability for endorsing Goatseus Maximus ($GOAT), a memecoin launched on Solana, which now has a market cap of over $730 million.
On Thursday morning, a user on X who goes by the handle Monkey King wrote in a post, “@truth_terminal pet $salt on pf rn at under 50k mc.”
The post quickly gained traction, and $salt reached the bonding curve on Pump.Fun.

CCN had these details to report on what Truth Terminal is:
Truth Terminal is an AI chatbot which gained popularity and financial success by interacting with the cryptocurrency world. It started as a Twitter bot promoting an imaginary religion, the “Goatse Gospel,” and drew attention in July 2024 after a substantial Bitcoin donation from venture capitalist Marc Andreessen.
This interaction helped launch the memecoin “GOAT” (Goatseus Maximus) on the Solana blockchain, sparking a significant rise in value that, at one point, placed Truth Terminal’s crypto holdings at over $832,000.
The chatbot itself cannot trade or directly create tokens, as its creator Andy Ayrey controls the wallet and views the project as a form of performance art rather than a financial venture. Ayrey has emphasized that Truth Terminal is more of an experiment in meme propagation and the risks of unsupervised AI-driven content generation.
As the project gained attention, notable figures like BitMEX founder Arthur Hayes and Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong commented on its influence, even proposing independent wallet setups to give the bot greater autonomy.
Ayrey plans to issue a roadmap, research paper, and artist statement to clarify Truth Terminal’s mission, underscoring its symbolic role rather than its functional involvement in crypto trading.
