Web 3 Gaming: Is The Next Overwatch Here?

Play-to-earn gaming is slowly yet surely growing and seeing increased adoption.

While there is currently no ‘killer app’, like Halo or Call of Duty in the play-to-earn world, this could all be changing soon with upcoming releases showcasing at this year’s 3XP Web Gaming Convention.

“The Machines Arena Game” is a top-down, multi-player shooter in the style of games like Overwatch.

If you have played arena-style shooter games like Overwatch or even Apex Legends, then you know the deal. Players compete, using their favorite character, in teams to fulfill certain objectives.

In the case of The Machines Arena Game, these objectives can be pushing a car, while the other team attacks, and a bomb detonation mode.

Players can choose from multiple, colorful heroes across 3 classes—tank, assault, and support.

Yes, you do not have to own a wallet or buy any NFTs or cryptocurrency to play TMA. There will be passes and mints of Digital Collectibles in the form of NFTs in the future that unlock further utility and game modes than the base free game modes.
