XRP Lands on Florida Field as Ripple Signs a Multiyear Gators Deal
• September 6, 2026 11:25 am • CommentsXRP is moving onto one of college football’s most recognizable fields.
Florida Athletics has signed a multiyear partnership with Ripple that will put XRP logos on the turf at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium beginning with the 2026 football season.
The agreement gives XRP more than a digital advertising placement. It puts the asset’s name in front of a massive live and television audience inside “The Swamp,” with logos planned for both 25-yard lines.
Florida Athletics says the partnership also covers its digital properties and event signage. Ripple will support financial and technology education for Florida student-athletes and the broader campus community, including material on traditional finance and digital assets.
The school supports 21 teams and more than 500 student-athletes, giving Ripple a presence that reaches well beyond Saturday football broadcasts. Florida has also finished in the national top 10 in all-sports rankings for 42 consecutive years, so the agreement attaches XRP to one of the country’s broadest and most visible college athletic programs.
Florida athletic director Scott Stricklin described the deal as a match between two organizations willing to think boldly about technology and the future.

The visible branding is the clearest part of the agreement.
Florida’s official announcement shows XRP marks on the field, where they will be hard to miss during home games. The school says the partnership begins with the 2026 football season and represents a long-term commitment.

The financial terms were not disclosed by the two parties. However, the Associated Press reported, citing a person with knowledge of the negotiations, that the deal will generate about $5 million annually for Florida.
That reported price would make the arrangement a meaningful college-sports sponsorship, not a token experiment.
It also arrives as athletic departments look for new revenue after the House settlement opened the door to direct revenue sharing with college athletes. On-field commercial marks, first permitted by the NCAA in 2024, have become valuable inventory.
The AP noted that Geico paid Florida $1 million for each of two field-logo games last season, providing a useful comparison for the scale of the new agreement. Florida’s multiyear structure gives Ripple repeated exposure rather than a one-weekend placement, while the education commitment adds a campus component that an ordinary field advertisement would not carry.
The Block notes that Florida is Ripple’s second major college-sports push this summer. Ripple previously partnered with Kansas Athletics, where XRP branding is scheduled to appear on jerseys.
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse is a Kansas alumnus.
The two deals take different routes to the same goal. Kansas puts the XRP name directly on athlete uniforms, while Florida places it on a field seen from the stands, overhead cameras and national broadcasts.
Florida competes in the SEC, operates 21 varsity programs and has won 49 national championships across 16 sports. That makes the agreement a broad institutional sponsorship with year-round reach, even though the football-field marks will attract most of the initial attention during the fall.
The Block also emphasized what remains undisclosed: the parties did not announce the term length beyond “multiyear,” the education schedule or the deal’s payment structure. Those open details leave plenty to watch after the first XRP logos appear in The Swamp.
For now, the confirmed deliverables are branding, signage, digital promotion and education—not a university crypto treasury or an XRP payment program.
For XRP, this is a reach story—not a utility claim.
The Florida agreement puts XRP branding in a mainstream sports setting and gives Ripple a direct educational role on campus. It introduces the asset to fans whose normal Saturday conversation is football rather than blockchain markets.
But the announcement does not say Florida will accept XRP for tickets, merchandise or donations. It does not say the university will hold XRP, and it does not establish new transaction demand on the XRP Ledger.
Those distinctions matter. A high-profile sponsorship can expand awareness without automatically changing the economics of the token.
What Ripple bought is still substantial: recurring national exposure inside a major SEC football venue, digital placement across Florida Athletics and a place in the school’s financial-technology conversation.
Crypto companies have spent years trying to cross the gap between industry recognition and mainstream familiarity. When millions of fans see XRP painted onto Florida Field, that gap gets a little smaller.
