Caroline Ellison Levies Startling Accusations Against Sam Bankman-Fried

As Sam Bankman-Fried’s trial continues, startling new accusations have come to light.

Several, former high-ranking FTX and Alameda executives have all testified against the former CEO as part of his ongoing criminal trial.

The latest of these witnesses is the disgraced SBF’s ex-girlfriend Caroline Ellison, and as part of her testimony, she lodged some incredibly serious allegations against Bankman-Fried.

Some of the allegations include artificially suppressing the price of Bitcoin and conspiring to have regulators target Binance—the world’s largest centralized crypto exchange by volume.

Watcher Guru reports: “Ex-girlfriend Caroline Ellison & Sam Bankman-Fried conspired to keep Bitcoin under $20k by selling customer BTC.”

Watcher Guru also explained: “Prosecutors reveal Caroline Ellison’s to-do list included “getting regulators to crack down on Binance.”

According to The Epoch Times:

At the start of her testimony, Ms. Ellison confirmed that she had committed the crimes of fraud, conspiracy to commit fraud, and money laundering, to which she pleaded guilty in December 2022.

As part of a plea agreement, she appeared as a witness for the prosecution at Mr. Bankman-Fried’s criminal fraud trial, which began last week.

“He directed me to commit these crimes,” she testified, referring to Mr. Bankman-Fried.

Internal Tech Emails presented this list of items from 2022 that Caroline Ellison titled “Things Sam is freaking out about.”

Coffeezilla, a popular online influencer specializing in targeting scammers, provided his own update on Ellison’s testimony live from New York.

Decrypt quoted Ellison:

“I knew that we would have to take the money from our FTX line of credit and I knew that that was money that could be called at any time.

And every day, I was worrying about the possibility of customer withdrawals from FTX and the possibility of this getting out and what would happen to people that would be hurt by that.”
