After much back and forth, the high court in Montenegro has finally decided to extradite Terraform Labs co-founder and former CEO, Do Kwon.

ProCoin News previously reported that the court backpedaled and reversed its decision to extradite the disgraced, former CEO several times.

Following his initial charges, Do Kwon was MIA until authorities in Montenegro caught him attempting to leave the country with falsified travel documents and detained him until further notice.

The court also declined to extradite Kwon to South Korea before the United States.

However, Do Kwon’s business partner and former colleague Han Chang-Joon was recently extradited to South Korea by the Montenegrin justice system. Here are the latest developments:

Cryptopolitan confirmed:

The drama around Do Kwon, the Terraform Labs co-founder, just hit a new peak. He’s getting shipped off to the United States, facing charges that have the crypto community on edge. Since March 2023, Kwon’s been chilling in Montenegro, but it looks like his stay is about to get cut short.

Crypto News Portal claimed: “The fact that Do Kwon is being extradited to the USA is priced positively on the LUNC and USTC side. There is a bullish trend in LUNC and USTC.”

According to Coin Telegraph:

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has a civil case against Kwon and Terra, with a trial scheduled for March 25. Both parties were alleged to have orchestrated a “multi-billion dollar crypto asset securities fraud” related to offering TerraUSD (UST) and Terra.
