As ProCoinnews previously reported the original LimeWire was a “free peer-to-peer file sharing client for Windows, MacOS, Linux, and Solaris.”
Most people used LimeWire to “download and distribution of pirated materials, particularly pirated music. LimeWire’s services were eventually ended early after a lengthy court battle with the RIAA regarding piracy.
LimeWire however is making a comeback but it has separated itself from the original Lime Wire founder Mark Gorton.
As an old #limewire user.
I'm excited to see the comeback of @limewire after so many years.
An Og platform leveraging blockchain for content creators is something we have been needing for some time now.
Looking forward to seeing how this plays out 🤝

In 2022 brothers Julian and Paul Zehetmayr revealed that they would “revive LimeWire as a music-based NFT platform”.
They have since launched a toke on the LimeWire site called LimeWire Token (LMWR).
The relaunch of @limewire fills me with a weird sense of nostalgia and also makes me feel old 😭 pic.twitter.com/ZIlwie3pP0
