Solana Labs Launches Leap App for Tokenized Stocks—and Plans to Burn SOL With Future Fees

Solana Labs is moving deeper into consumer trading with a new mobile app that puts tokenized stocks, ETFs, metals, currencies and crypto in one place.

Leap opened early access on iPhone Thursday, pitching a different kind of onchain trading experience: less obsession with raw trade count, more focus on market context, true profit-and-loss accounting and disciplined decisions.

Decrypt reports that the beta lets eligible users trade tokenized traditional assets alongside crypto through onchain swaps. Users enter a dollar amount, while Jupiter handles routing, Helius provides infrastructure and Birdeye supplies market data.

The app is built by the team behind Dialect, which created Solana Actions and Blinks before being acquired by Solana Labs earlier this year.

That team is now turning tools built for shareable onchain actions into a full consumer trading front end.

Leap’s most useful feature may be its accounting. The company says profit and loss includes deposits, withdrawals, trades and fees, giving users a breakeven price for each position instead of a flattering number that ignores money moving in and out.

There is also a direct SOL angle. Leap is not charging its own trading fee at launch, although network and routing costs still apply.

Once platform fees begin, the company plans to use part of that revenue to buy SOL and burn it. Another portion will support its referral program.

The size and timing of that future burn have not been disclosed, so it should not be treated as an immediate supply shock. The more important near-term question is whether a polished mobile interface can bring meaningful new trading volume to tokenized assets on Solana.

Access remains limited. The beta is distributed through Apple’s TestFlight program, Android is still coming, and tokenized products are subject to jurisdictional restrictions.

Leap says it is unavailable in the United Kingdom and certain other regions.

The launch shows where Solana Labs believes the next adoption battle will be fought. Consumer apps must make onchain markets coherent enough for ordinary traders to use repeatedly.
