Telegram Wallet Unveils Game Changing Development

Many firms, such as Alty, have been proposing solutions to crypto transfers between users in messaging apps for years now.

Each solution has its own breadth and scope but Telegram and WhatsApp seem to be the messaging platforms that need peer-to-peer transfers and remittances the most.

The Telegram Wallet Bot was launched in April and now users can not only transfer crypto but exchange trade crypto with other users.

There will be a 0.9% fee charged to all seller transactions; however, buy transactions will not incur this fee.

Currently, the only 2 digital assets available for purchase are Bitcoin and TON and these assets can be purchased using these fiat currencies: USD, EUR, UAH, BYN, and KZT…

Additionally, BTC is not yet transferable in-app. Of course, as with anything, the offerings will be sought to be expanded over time.

Here’s what we currently know:

Blockworks relayed this message from the developers:

“Without leaving Telegram you can buy cryptocurrency, send it to your friends using a short nickname without long wallet addresses, get access to the internet with the @mobile bot, pay for a subscription to your favourite Telegram channel along with many other services,” they said.

Coin Telegraph previously reported this on TON:

TON stands for The Open Network and was created by Telegram in 2017 for decentralized services such as decentralized storage, anonymous networks, DNS, instant payments and others using a proof-of-stake mechanism.
