Ethereum accumulation illustration for Bitmine treasury growth

Bitmine Adds 8,573 ETH as Its Treasury Nears 5% of Supply

Bitmine has added another 8,573 ETH to its treasury, taking its total position above 6.06 million tokens and putting the company within striking distance of its goal to own 5% of Ethereum’s supply.

The weekly purchase was smaller than several of Bitmine’s recent additions, but the milestone is the real story. Few public companies have concentrated this much exposure in a single blockchain asset, and an increasing share of that position is now tied to staking operations.

Decrypt reported that Bitmine held 6,060,506 ETH as of November 1. Using the company’s stated 122.2 million-token supply figure, that equals about 4.9% of all ETH.

The company valued the position at roughly $13.7 billion based on an ETH price of $2,261.

Bitmine has purchased ETH every week since launching its treasury strategy on June 30, 2025. The latest addition extends that streak while leaving the company roughly one-tenth of a percentage point short of its stated supply target.

The wider balance sheet included 216 Bitcoin and $498 million in cash and marketable securities. Bitmine also reported a $180 million stake in Beast Industries and an $82 million position in Eightco.

Bitmine said 5,227,037 ETH is already staked, representing about 86% of its holdings. At the reported price, that staked position was worth roughly $11.8 billion.

The company projects about $358 million in annualized staking revenue at the current level and $415 million if the full ETH position is eventually deployed.

Those estimates are not guaranteed revenue. Staking yields change, ETH prices move, and operating an institutional validator platform adds technical and concentration risk.

Still, the figures show that Bitmine is trying to turn a very large treasury into a recurring-yield business rather than leaving the assets idle.

Beyond ETH, Bitmine reported 216 Bitcoin, $498 million in cash and marketable securities, and stakes in Beast Industries and Eightco. It put the combined value of its crypto, cash, securities and other investments at $14.5 billion.

The company’s concentration makes every incremental ETH purchase important. Reaching the 5% goal would be a striking headline, but the more consequential question is how responsibly Bitmine can manage, stake and finance a position of this size through a full market cycle.

For now, the weekly buying streak remains intact, and the finish line on Bitmine’s “Alchemy of 5%” plan is very close.
