Strive Adds 124 Bitcoin as Treasury Race Tightens Near Third Place

Strive has added another 124 Bitcoin to its corporate treasury, pushing its total holdings to 43,124 BTC and tightening a race near the top of the public-company rankings.

The purchase is modest compared with some of the eye-popping treasury deals of the past year. Its importance comes from where it leaves Strive: within a few hundred Bitcoin of two larger holders, even as the company continues building a capital structure designed around long-term BTC accumulation.

Decrypt reported that Strive spent about $10 million on the 124 BTC acquired from October 24 through October 30. The average cost was $80,526 per Bitcoin, including fees.

The company now sits just 390 BTC behind Twenty One Capital, which holds 43,514 BTC, and 876 BTC behind Metaplanet at 44,000 BTC.

Chairman and CEO Matt Cole said existing cash funded most of the purchase. Strive also used its SATS at-the-market program for the first time, with those sales accounting for all of the week’s ATM proceeds.

Strive’s cash and cash equivalents declined from $504.4 million to $490.4 million over the week. It also continued to hold roughly $50 million of Strategy’s STRC preferred stock.

The company reported an amplification ratio of 62.7%, a measure comparing preferred-stock and debt obligations with the value of its Bitcoin.

The balance matters. Corporate Bitcoin strategies can expand exposure for shareholders, but financing costs and preferred dividends do not disappear when BTC falls.

Strive’s latest purchase shows continued conviction while also revealing the machinery behind the accumulation.

At the latest pace, the ranking gap could close quickly, but the other treasury companies are not standing still. The more useful signal is that Strive is still buying below its reported average acquisition cost while maintaining significant cash reserves.

That leaves investors with two numbers to watch: how fast Strive adds Bitcoin, and how much preferred capital it must support to keep doing it.
