Tokenized Stocks Find Their Busiest Hours After Wall Street Closes
• October 13, 2026 7:30 pm • CommentsTokenized stocks are beginning to answer a simple question that traditional markets cannot: what happens when investors no longer have to wait for Wall Street’s opening bell?
The early answer is showing up in the trading clock. Cointelegraph, citing Blockworks data, says more than 70% of tokenized-equity volume on BNB Chain now occurs outside the regular 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern U.S. session.
The share is 63% on Solana and nearly 60% on Base.
The same report says tokenized-stock value is approaching $3.3 billion after growing roughly 15% in a month. Ondo Global Markets and xStocks are among the major issuers helping turn the category into a market with real scale.
Activity is rising at individual venues too. Jupiter reported a 50% month-over-month increase in tokenized-asset volume, reinforcing the idea that investors are using the products instead of simply holding them.
Investor demand for trading outside of regular market hours is skyrocketing.
In fact, the majority of trading volume in tokenized equities is now occurring OUTSIDE of regular market hours.

The after-hours use case is becoming real. Tokenized equities are blockchain-based representations of stocks or stock-linked exposure.
Their structure varies by issuer and jurisdiction, so the rights can differ from shares held in a conventional brokerage account. Their always-on settlement rails still give them one obvious advantage: they do not need to stop moving when a U.S. exchange closes.
That advantage is no longer theoretical. If most volume is happening outside regular market hours, users are choosing the feature that makes tokenization materially different from simply holding the same exposure through a broker.
The market is growing alongside that usage. The report puts the value of tokenized stocks near $3.3 billion, up about 15% over the past month.
Jupiter, a major Solana venue, reported a 50% month-over-month increase in tokenized-asset trading volume.
The world’s largest phone maker is putting Solana in its wallet. Samsung Wallet is getting USDC cross-border payments, BNY opened SOL custody, Securitize brought U.S. stocks onchain, and blocks got 2x faster underneath.

BNB Chain and Solana are competing on distribution. BNB Chain said in June that more than 709 tokenized stocks and exchange-traded funds were available across its ecosystem.
It reported cumulative volume above $5 billion and market capitalization above $1 billion at the time.
The network described 24-hour access as the center of its pitch, with tokenized versions of public equities and exchange-traded funds available across multiple venues. It also pointed to the ability to move those assets into decentralized-finance applications rather than leaving them isolated on a single trading screen.
Solana has built its own distribution through exchanges, wallets, and decentralized-finance venues. The network’s recent update highlighted Securitize bringing U.S. stocks onchain, alongside broader custody and payment integrations.
Tokenized assets become more useful when investors can move them between trading, collateral, custody, and settlement applications without leaving the network.
Listing the most symbols will not settle the competition. Liquidity, redemption rights, issuer quality, spreads, custody, and regulatory access will determine whether these products function like durable market infrastructure or thin wrappers around familiar stocks.
Round-the-clock access creates new risks too. Trading while the underlying exchange is closed can be useful, especially for investors outside the United States or for markets reacting to weekend news.
It can also create pricing gaps. When the reference stock is not trading, a tokenized version may move on thinner liquidity and wider spreads until the underlying market reopens.
Investors also need to understand what they own. Some products are fully backed and offer defined redemption mechanics; others provide synthetic exposure with different counterparty and legal risks.
A familiar ticker does not erase those distinctions.
Still, the timing data points to a genuine product-market fit. Tokenized stocks are finding activity precisely where Wall Street’s old schedule ends.
